I often have to lead diverse teams during stressful projects. It’s not that the course teaches you brand new concepts, it’s that the course makes you think of ways to incorporate the class material into your existing leadership style or processes.
Really breaks down the process of developing a team and leading them to success. There was a lot of good advice.
Authentic, applicable to so many miserable situations I’ve observed over the decades, and well narrated by an energetic and motivating instructor. The bitesize modules made the course pleasant, repeatable and manageable while running flawlessly on my relatively old, obsolete Android handheld device.

I thought this course was very valuable. I appreciated the practical examples and suggestions for leadership actions that were provided. The honest explanations and personal experience set the tone for a thoughtful and in-depth instruction on diversity. Also, the reading selections mentioned were great! Finally, the multi-platform approach for instruction was extremely helpful. Not having to be chained to my work computer allowed the experience to be less of a grind and helped to remove work distractions from pressing in.

Dr. Arrington makes difficult material seem easy. He made several days of online material seem like nothing. I looked forward to hearing his words of wisdom in a fun and non-threatening environment. He always made himself available to answer questions and bounce ideas. Also, he practices what he preaches. Even though there were some technical difficulties, he was able to quickly resolve it and was fair about providing adequate time to complete the course to make up for the delay caused by the technical difficulties. I was sad to see this course end as he really felt like a mentor in my brain. A very worth while course to take. Valuable lessons about conflict, trust, and other important qualities every leader should have.

Leading High Performing Teams is a course that is well worth taking. It is arguably as good or better than than the in-person setting that I have also taken. (which in itself is a remarkable feat). The virtual format is engaging and thoughtfully layered. One of the best formats for a virtual learning setting. I expected a regurgitation of the “same old class” from 2 years ago, but I was surprised by how much it has been updated, concepts were refreshed and examples brought up to date. It was nice to revisit similar ideas with a different perspective. Dr. Arrington provides the student with pathways to solutions that can be applied in most team situations, without prescribing a “Template” for success.
Well done, and I look forward to accessing this content in the future in order to develop and lead my own high performance team.

This was one of few courses that I have taken that I enjoyed and did not feel like I wasted my time. Dr. Arrington makes it enjoyable and fun. I would recommend to anyone who is or is not in a leadership role to take his course, you will not regret it.

This was a good class, it covered a wide variety of topics including types of teams, what it means to be high performing and how to communicate effectively. It also discussed how to have conflict productively while building trust, encouraging engagement, and how to hold you and your team accountable. Then concluded with a good conversation on diversity and tied it all into our current virtual environment. I would recommend this class to others.
