Course Description

Most leaders fundamentally misunderstand what coaching is.

The most important thing to understand about coaching is that it isn’t about giving advice or telling someone what to do. It’s about helping the person being coached to find their own answers and solutions.

When employees feel supported in their work and are given the opportunity to grow and develop, they are more likely to be satisfied and engaged in their work. This can lead to increased productivity, creativity, and innovation.

Workplace coaching can help to reduce stress and improve communication among employees. Employers who invest in workplace coaching can create a positive and productive work environment that leads to happier and more engaged employees.

There are very few businesses that work with a one-size-fits-all approach. Most businesses are individualized to the needs of the many people they serve. What works well with one person may not work as well with another.

Disengaged employees can have a negative impact on a company. Re-engaging employees who have become disengaged can be difficult. With the skills you’ll learn in this course, you’ll have new tools to reach out to disengaged employees.

Coaching is an excellent way to help employees identify new solutions, remediate negative behaviors, and increase organizational effectiveness. And it’s all the rage right now.

But what does organizational coaching look like in practice?

This course explores the skills necessary for volunteer coaches to gain the confidence to benefit younger leaders with a mix of coaching skills: diagnostic listening, strategic questioning, gap planning, wisdom sharing, and giving productive feedback. This foundational training serves as a basis for effective leadership.

I really appreciated the deal world examples of all the different situations that might be encountered when coaching. I find it difficult to engage with someone who is uninterested or unwilling to initially participate. The practical techniques of how to engage someone despite those circumstances were very relevant and feasible. Also, I love the term “mlrale vampire”.

Thoroughly enjoyed the reminders on how important coaching techniques are to effective leadership. Appreciated the emphasis on active listening and guiding individuals to their own solution vice telling how to resolve the issue.

David Arrington is a very insightful and professional Leadership Coach. His Leadership methodologies can be easily be applied to a manager’s daily workforce operations in order to augment their teams performance and production. Additionally, his Leadership techniques and logical processes are complementary to the skills that many managers already have acquired. I highly recommend taking one of his courses.
